Vice Dean LI Meets with Delegates from University of Saskatchewan on Collaboration Published:2015-12-15 14:52:52  Views:10

On December 15, 2015, Dr. LI Jiayong, Vice Dean of Faculty of Education, had a meeting with Diane MARTZ, Director of International Research and Partnerships, and Shirley ZHOU, Major Gifts Officer for Institutional Priorities from University of Saskatchewan, to have a discussion on future collaboration between the two institutions at the faculty level.

Director MARTZ and Vice Dean LI gave detailed introductions about their represented institutions, briefing to each other the departments, academic centers, International programs, etc. to look at potential cooperation opportunities. Both sides were very open on forms of collaboration and showed great interests in exploring new ways. Main potential areas for cooperation laid in environmental education, multicultural education and minority & aboriginal education, etc. Vice Dean LI spoke on behalf of FOE to welcome students or faculty members of University of Saskatchewan School of Education to visit FOE and do joint research. This meeting was considered “the first step” to get into concrete future collaboration, when University of Saskatchewan School of Education would send faculty or students from particular academic units for more conversations and make specific plans for collaboration in the near future.
