Faculty of Education Shines at Beijing International Students’ Night 2015 Published:2015-12-17 15:20:11  Views:10

As a symbol of social and academic excellence, Beijing International Students’ Night 2015 was held on December 5th, 2015 at the Qiujiduan Gymnasium in Beijing Normal University (BNU). About 2000 audiences were present at the event. The event was honored by reputable official guests from Ministry of Education, Chinese Scholarship Council and representatives from many univiversities.

The program was partitioned into three sections: The first part showcased talents from various faculties of the university in a creative and enjoyable way. The second part exhibited international and continental cultural practices by students from Malaysia, Africa, Pakistan, Korea, China, Mongolia, Thailand, etc. The third session of the event was filled with extraordinary choreographies and songs.

Facuty of Education students shone at the Beijing International Students’ Night 2015. To name just a few, FOE students’ musical performance “Knocking’ on Heaven’s Door” made the audience thump their head and fill the gymnasium with loud voices of laughter and joy. The remarkeable dance performance by the African group, FOE students being the majority of the performers, was highly spoken by the audience. Dr. Fang Fang from Higher Education and Student Affairs (HESA) department was honored with the Excellent Students Counsellor Award, while various students received the Excellent Student Award for thier academic achievement and contribution to the Beijing International Students’ Night 2015.

After 20 different performances, the event was finally crowned by the wonderful song 'we are the world” after which all performers went together on stage to take pictures with BNU senior officials, friends, and other invited guests. Beijing International Students’ Night 2015 will be remebered as a magnificent night of cultural interaction and academic excellence where the Faculty of Education shined as the brightest star of all.
