Delegation of University of Saskatchewan Visits FOE Published:2015-12-11 15:38:16  Views:10

On the morning of December 11, 2015, a delegation of University of Saskatchewan paid a visit to the Faculty of Education (FOE). The delegation comprised of Alison PICKRELL, Director of Enrolment & Student Affairs and Student & Enrolment Services, Kevin VEITENHEIMER, Senior Financial Officer of Office of the Vice-President Research, Derek TANNIS, Manager of International Students and Study Abroad Centre, Diane MARTZ, Director of International Office, Dan ZHAO, Administrative Assistant & Programs and Activities Coordinator/ International Visits Coordinator and Tongjia Tana, Project Officer of Division of Confucius Institute Development from Beijing Language and Culture University. Dr. LI Jiayong, Vice Dean of FOE, received the delegation. FOE participants who were also present at the meeting were Assoc Prof. YAO Yun and Assoc Prof. DU Ruijun from Institute of Higher Education, XIAO Kai, Deputy Director of the Office of International Exchange and Cooperation, and ZHENG Zhen, International Exchange & Cooperation Program Specialist of BNU.

After Vice Dean LI gave a brief introduction about FOE, Assoc. Prof. YAO Yun and Assoc. Prof. DU Ruijun gave lectures to share their thoughts about Internationalization and strategic planning of institutes of higher education in China respectively. The meeting ended with a heated discussion on building world-class universities as a national strategy and strategic planning of universities.
