Recently, with the generous support from the Faculty of Education (FOE), Beijing Normal University Education Foundation and the Ministry of Education, the FOE Research and Education Center for Children with Autism received ¥600,000 endowment funds from the International Care for Autism Children Fund to carry out the Twinkling Stars Training Project for Professionals for Autistic Children in China.
The Twinkling Stars Training Project is scheduled to hold two training sessions from March to July, 2016, featuring Education Assessment for School-age Children with Autism, Applied Behavior Analysis and Positive Behavior Support, Development and Implementation of Individualized Education Program, Collective Teaching and Individualized Teaching, Game Development and Social Skills Training for Autistic Children, etc. The project receives professional technical support from Autism Speaks, the world’s largest autism advocacy non-profit organization that sponsors autism research and conducts awareness and outreach activities aimed at families, governments, and the public. The content of the training project will be co-developed by Autism Speaks and Education Center for Children with Autism. Domestic and international experts in the field will be invited to give professional training for the staffs.
On November 25, 2015, the contract signing ceremony was held in ZhongShe Social Work Development Foundation. Present at the ceremony were Head of International Care for Autism Children Fund Mr. ZHANG Jun, Vice Dean of Faculty of Education Dr. ZHANG Jingbin, Secretary-general of Education Foundation ZHANG Wulong, Secretary-general of ZhongShe Social Work Development Foundation WANG Hongwei, Director of Education Center for Children with Autism HU Xiaoyi, Associate Director and Professor LIU Yanhong, Director of International Care for Autism Children Fund WEI Ying, FAN Xiaoxi from Education Foundation.
