Building a Global Teacher Education Community for Future Possibilities

Global Teacher Education Summit (GTES) is a triennial international high-end academic event initiated by the Center for Teacher Education Research of Beijing Normal University, Key Research Institute of Humanities and Social Sciences for Universities, Ministry of Education (Institute of Teacher Education Research, Faculty of Education, Beijing Normal University). GTES has been hosted by Beijing Normal University since its inception in 2011. Over the years, GTES has made a significant impact worldwide, serving as a dynamic platform for extensive dialogues and exchanges among global teacher education researchers and practitioners. The summit is dedicated to addressing new phenomena, issues, and trends in the ongoing global teacher education reform and development.


The Global Teacher Education Summit has been held for four times, inviting hundreds of speakers from all over the world, attracting more than 300,000 scholars, teachers and university students from more than 200 research institutes and teaching organizations, and receiving more than 1,000 research papers and abstracts.
