Peabody Assistant Professor Brent Evans Visits FOE Published:2016-05-17 15:10:22  Views:10

On May 16, Dr. Brent Evans, Assistant Professor of Public Policy and Higher Education of Peabody College, Vanderbilt University made a visit to the Faculty of Education. Executive Director of Institute of Higher Education Professor Hong Chengwen and Lecturer Fang Fang warmly received Dr. Evans and they had a discussion on future cooperation.

Dr. Brent Evans gave a presentation to the students and faculty members of the Faculty, entitled Financing Higher Education in the US—Inequality and Student Success, in which he introduced the context of the postsecondary education in the US, analyzed the impact of increasing education fees and financial aid on the enrollment and degree attainment of the middle and low income families, and shared some of the related results of his research. After the presentation, Dr. Evans had a discussion with Director Hong and Dr. Fang to explore potential opportunities for scientific collaborative research.
