Delegates of The University of Nottingham Visits FOE Published:2015-11-03 17:21:10  Views:10

On November 3rd, 2015, the Faculty of Education received a delegation from The University of Nottingham at Room 352 in the Yingdong Building. The delegation was consisted by Prof. Howard Stevenson, Prof. Bernadette Youens and Prof. Qing Gu from the School of Education. Vice Dean Prof. LI Jiayong hosted the meeting. The main goal of the meeting, as suggested by Prof. LI Jiayong, was to grow the seed of cooperation between the two institutions and in the hope that the cooperation would grow bigger in the future.

 

After Prof. LI expressed a warm welcome to the visit of the delegation, Prof. LI, Prof. Stevenson and Prof. Youens made brief introductions about each of their institutions. Prof. ZHU Zhiyong, Prof. LI Qiong, Prof. SANG Guoyuan, Prof. WANG Gongbin and Prof. QI Chunxia gave brief overview of their represented departments or schools, and proposed potential areas of collaborations with the School of Education of The University of Nottingham. Possible areas mentioned at the meeting included joint research, joint publications, and joint programs, etc. The Nottingham Delegates expressed great interests in the proposed collaboration areas and would like to consider constructing more formal agreement on future cooperation with the Faculty of Education.
