On the morning of October 20, Dr. Belmira Bueno, Professor and Dean of School of Education, University of Sao Paulo (USP) gave an academic presentation on Teacher Education and Technologies at Room 206 in No. 4 Teaching Building at Beijing Normal University. Dr. Bueno began her presentation by raising the question “How to use technologies for training teachers to get certificates or degrees”? She then introduced the new model of in-service training being used by her school for teacher education and concluded that the model contributes to bringing together the university and the school, creating opportunities for an enhanced understanding of the specificities of teachers' work as it happens in public schools today. This presentation was hosted by Prof. Li Jiayong. More than 50 students and teachers attended the presentation.

After the presentation, Dean of Faculty of Education Shi Zhongying, Vice Dean Li Jiayong, Prof. Zhu Zhiyong from College of Education Administration and Prof. Kang Yongjiu from Institute of Education Theories met with Dean Belmira Bueno. They made brief introductions of the faculty and schools, and discussed possible ways of cooperation on students and faculty exchange and research collaboration. All parties expressed interests on future collaboration and will continue to explore opportunities and ways of cooperation.
