Liu Li, vice director of Students Affairs Offices at the Faculty of Education, led four post-graduate students named Ren Fei, Zhao Lan, Li Xiaomeng and Tang Mengying, to do internship in Dah Rung Cambridge International Bilingual Elementary school and Dah Rung preschool in Taiwan. On 15th April, Dah Rung Cambridge International Bilingual Elementary school and Dah Rung preschool held welcome ceremony for all of them. Meanwhile, Tai Wan Times and China Daily reported the event.
“Beijing Normal University, a key university under the administration of the Ministry of Education, is a renowned institution of higher education known for teacher education” , said president Wen Zhixiong, “It is a honor for us to invite students from Faculty of Education, BNU to our school for four-week teaching, which can promote our communication between each other”.
“Li Zhendeng, chairman of the board of Dah Rung Senior High School, was often invited to the Faculty of Education for seminars and conferences”, said Liu Li, “Mr. Li is the consultant of ‘Four Leaf Clover’, thanksgiving education foundation. He has been offering scholarship for poor students for many years which made good foundation for our friendship and corporation between two schools”.
The joint efforts from the two sides have led this trial to a successful end, which will encourage more cooperation between FOE and Dah Run Senior High School in the near future. At the same time, students who participated in this program also showed their gratitude to FOE for giving them this chance to learn about Taiwan, and more importantly, to put what they learned into practice.
