The Speech of Professor Kim: Korean Moral Education Published:2013-10-10 15:47:51  Views:10

On the afternoon of October 10, 2013, TEA-HOON KIM, the professor of Gongju National University of Education, made a report on Korean Moral Education in the 318 meeting room, Ying Dong education building. Professor Tan Chuanbao and Wang Xiao, Doctor Ban Jianwu, and graduate students, undergraduates and visiting scholars of BNU Civics and Moral Education Research Center attended the report meeting.

Professor Kim, who has engaged in moral education over twenty years, is a well-known Korean moral education expert. With his own rich experience and detailed examples, he presented the overview of Korean education, and the situation of Korean moral education curriculum and “Moral / ethical subjects” teaching. Professor Jim’s speech was vivid and informative, which was greatly appreciated by participants.

This report is a lively dialogue between the experts of Korean moral education research and the teachers and students of BNU Civics and Moral Education Research Center. The success of the meeting will lay a good foundation for the further communication of moral education study between Korea and China.

On February 20, 2013, Professor Tan Chuanbao met with the Professor of Korea Gongju National University of Education, Jim, who was visiting BNU Civics and Moral Education Research Center. They launched initial academic exchanges on Korean and Chinese moral education and future cooperation. From February 19th, Professor Jim would engage in Chinese moral education investigation, and comparative study of Chinese and Korean moral education for a year in the research center of BNU Civics and Moral Education Research Center as an exchange professor.
