Bio

Prof. XUE is recognized as the National Top-notch Young Professional, a Young Scholar of the National Major Talent Project, and an Outstanding Young and Middle-aged Expert in Ethnic Research of the National Ethnic Affairs Commission.

Prof. XUE has published over 200 papers in both Chinese and English in CSSCI and SSCI indexed journals, including prominent publications such as Educational Research and Qiushi. Additionally, he has published more than 60 articles in authoritative media outlets, including People's Daily, Guangming Daily, Zhongguo Jiaoyu Bao, and Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference Journal. He has written over 50 papers in SSCI indexed journals, and more than 10 papers in Educational Research, one of the most authoritative journals in the Chinese education research field. His work has also been fully reprinted over 40 times in Xinhua Wenzhai, Social Sciences Digest, and China Social Science Excellence. Prof. XUE has published more than 20 Chinese and English books, including Research on China’s Education Policy System, Strategies and Policies for the Equalization of Basic Public Education Services, and Creating a High-Quality Education Policy System: Insights from China. Over 100 of his consulting reports have been adopted by decision-making departments. He has won more than 70 first- and second-place awards, including the Higher Education Scientific Research Achievement Award, National Ethnic Affairs Commission Social Science Achievement Award, National Education Science Achievement Award, Beijing Social Science Research Excellence Award, and the China Association for Promoting Democracy Political Consultation Excellence Award. He was also awarded the 4th 'China New Development Award' by Springer Nature.

Prof. XUE has led over 10 national- or provincial-level projects, including the National Social Science Fund of China, National Natural Science Fund of China, National Language Commission Key Projects, Ministry of Education Humanities and Social Sciences Fund, and Beijing Social Science Fund. He has also led significant projects such as the Ministry of Education's Philosophy and Social Sciences Major Research Projects, Beijing Social Science Fund Major Projects, and Beijing Education Science Planning Major Projects. His National Natural Science Fund of China project was rated as 'Outstanding' upon completion.

Prof. XUE taught the course Important Discourse on Education by General Secretary Xi Jinping, which was nominated for the National Excellent Course Award for Studying and Implementing Xi Jinping’s Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era (the Organizing Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China), and received the 1st Prize for Teaching Achievements Awards from Beijing Normal University.
