The International Network of Educational Institutions (INEI) is an international academic alliance of 11 leading global educational institutions, including the Institute of Education at the University College London, Danish School of Education at Aarhus University, School of Education at University of Cape Town, Melbourne Graduate School of Education at University of Melbourne, the National Institute of Education at Nanyang Technological University, School of Education at Hiroshima University, College of Education at Seoul National University, School of Education at University of Sao Paulo, School of Education at University of Wisconsin-Madison, Ontario Institute for Studies in Education at University of Toronto, and the Faculty of Education at Beijing Normal University. The INEI Summer School has been held for three consecutive years since 2017, serving as a platform for academic exchange and learning among faculty and students of the Network. The International Network of Educational Institutions (INEI) 2021 Summer School was successfully held from July 12 to 14, 2021, hosted by the Faculty of Education at Beijing Normal University (FoE BNU) and organized by the College of Educational Administration at FoE BNU. The theme was "Opportunities and Challenges of Educational Governance in the Post-Epidemic Era", which aimed to enhance international exchange in the academic field of educational governance in the post-epidemic era.
On July 12, 2021 at 8:00 p.m. Beijing time, the INEI 2021 Summer School kicked off as scheduled. Twenty-eight summer school participants from 10 countries and regions around the world were welcomed by Professor Yu Kai, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Education at Beijing Normal University, Dr. Zeng Guoquan, Vice Dean of the College of Educational Administration at FoE BNU, Dr. Liu Jing, Director of the Office of International Exchange and Cooperation. The Opening Ceremony has provided summer school participants with a brief overview of the INEI, the Faculty of Education at Beijing Normal University, and the College of Educational Administration, as well as the forms and aims of the summer school.
After the brief opening ceremony, the summer school course officially started. During the three-day summer school course, the College of Educational Administration has invited five renowned scholars in the field of educational administration to give lectures, after which the participants studied and discussed together around theories of educational governance, school governance and educational improvement, and educational equity and educational governance.

In the concluding ceremony of the Summer School on July 14, 2021, Dr. Zeng Guoquan, Vice Dean of the College of Educational Administration at FoE BNU, expressed his recognition and appreciation for the active participation of the participants. He also extended a sincere invitation to the participants of the Summer School, to welcoming them to China, and to Beijing Normal University for future exchange and study. Many summer school participants have also expressed their gratitude towards faculties who gave knowledgeable lectures and their classmates who have exchange valuable perspectives during the past three days. With all the enthusiastic testimonials, the INEI 2021 Summer School was successfully concluded.
