HGSE Delegation Visits FOE Published:2016-01-18 17:12:08  Views:10

 

On the morning of January 18, two delegates from Harvard Graduate School of Education (HGSE), Ford Foundation Professor Fernando Reimers and Professor Connie Chung, visited Faculty of Education. BNU Vice President ZHOU Zuoyu and FOE Vice Dean LI Jiayong met with the delegation. Professor ZHENG Guomin, Assistant Dean LIU Qiang, Associate Professor TENG Jun and Associate Professor ZHANG Danhui attended the meeting.

 

Vice President Zhou and Vice Dean Li welcomed the delegates and spoke of FOE’s features, advantage disciplines and current important research projects. Both sides reviewed the cooperation in the past and expressed their interests in further and deeper collaboration.

 

Fernando Reimers shared his current research on Global Education Innovation Initiative, which focuses on educational innovation and the impact of education policy, leadership, and teacher professional development on 21st century skills. Associate Professor TENG Jun and Associate Professor ZHANG Danhui introduced their on-going projects to the delegates and expressed their interests in the involvement in the initiative. Both sides discovered many connections between their research interests and projects and agreed on exploring more specific ways of cooperation on institutional level in the near future.
