On 10 March, Beijing normal university-Hiroshima university doctoral forum was held in BNU. Vice-president Chen Guangju attended the opening ceremony and address welcome speech. Dean of Faculty of Education, Shi Zhongying, Vice-Dean Li Jiayong express their support for the academic exchange between Beijing Normal University and Hiroshima University. Vice President of the college of education, Hiroshima University, Maruyama Yasushi, expressed his thanks to all FOE colleagues and their hospitality.
There are total of 12 PHD students from China and Japan participated in the academic exchanges. With different research interest, participants brought various research methods and new point of view in area of “Student-Centered Approach in Cambodian Primary School Classrooms: Exploring Teachers' Conceptions, Beliefs, and Practices”, “The Rise of College Youth Self-organization and Reconstruction of College Cultural Ecology”, “Research on Mathematics Teachers’ Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge--Exemplified by the Knowledge of Geometric Transformation”, “A study on school leader education from the viewpoint of strategic management” etc.
On the 11.March, participants from Hiroshima University visited Potou Primary School in Mentougou District and experienced a math class there. This visit showed them the reality of student’s daily life in a class, which impressed the delegation very much.
